The Sustainable & Equitable Education through Diverse & Empowered Referrals (SEEDER) Program is a pioneering effort by the Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education (NAIHE) aimed at enriching the educational landscape with diversity and accessibility.
This unique initiative places a special emphasis on empowering current students, alumni, and supporters of NAIHE and the University of Newcastle, Australia (UON) to play a pivotal role in shaping the academic community. By encouraging them to refer friends, colleagues, or loved ones to join NAIHE’s diverse programs, SEEDER not only opens the door to quality education for more individuals but also strengthens NAIHE’s commitment to creating a sustainable and equitable learning environment.
At its core, SEEDER is about building a vibrant, supportive network that extends beyond academic achievements, fostering a culture of mutual support and opportunity. Through this collaborative effort, NAIHE aims not just to educate, but to inspire a legacy of change-makers, ready to contribute to a more inclusive and adaptive future.
The SEEDER Program is open to:
Eligible participants can refer prospective students to all available NAIHE part-time postgraduate programs, including Graduate Certificate and Masters programs.
This program is not available to organisations who are contracted to work as Education Agents for NAIHE.
A referral reward will be granted to the referrer after the referred student has made their first instalment payment towards their program fees and has started their chosen program and on condition that they do not withdraw from the program before the census date. To qualify for the referral reward, both the referrer (if referrer is a current student) and the referred student must not have any outstanding payments with NAIHE.
The referral reward is as follows:
NAIHE reserves the right to offer an alternative of equal or greater value.
The referral reward shall be disbursed approximately 6 weeks after the commencement date of the program, contingent upon the referred student having settled all tuition fee instalments due.
Cash rewards shall be paid via bank transfer (or PayNow, or a similar payment method) to a Singapore bank account.
For non-cash rewards, we shall contact the referrer via email or phone prior to distribution. Distribution shall be via mail/courier to the address provided by the referrer at the time of referral.
The referred student must have had no contact with NAIHE within 120 days prior to submitting their application.
NAIHE/UON staff (including casual, part-time or sessional staff/academics), their immediate family members, and relatives are not eligible to participate in the referral program.
In the event of a dispute over the entitlement to a referral reward, the decision will be made based on the referred student’s confirmation and other supporting documentation as necessary.
NAIHE reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the referral program without prior notice.
