PSB Academy

Once known as Singapore’s Productivity and Standards Board, PSB Academy is known today as “The Future Academy”, with an approach to education that focuses on what really matters: performance in the New Economy. In 2021, the Academy was conferred third National Business Award in Education by Singapore Business Review,  and earned “Best Education Institute- Singapore” by APAC Insider in 2019. 

Today, PSB has hosted over 16,000 students from over 50 nationalities with their slate of certificate, diploma, degree and postgraduate programs every year.

Once known as Singapore’s Productivity and Standards Board, PSB Academy is known today as “The Future Academy”, with an approach to education that focuses on what really matters: performance in the New Economy. In 2017, the Academy was conferred “Education Institution of the Year” by APAC Insider and earned 2 consecutive SBR National Business Awards in 2017/18 in the Education category for outstanding work in the region. Today, we host over 12,000 students from over 50 nationalities with our slate of certificate, diploma, degree and postgraduate programmes every year. Students from the Academy enjoy excellent graduation outcomes: in 2017, close to 8 in 10 graduates found employment within six months of graduation; and close to 7 in 10 graduates said the skills and knowledge they acquired helped them perform better at work (GES 2017). In 2017, we marked an expansion to a City Campus at Marina Square spanning over 100,000 square feet. This signaled the Academy’s mission to make the idea of productivity relevant again, with a future-oriented brand of education to prepare students for a disrupted age. The campus was launched by Guest of Honour, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Secretary-General Chan Chun Sing, along with PSB Academy’s university and industry partners. Most recently in 2018, as part of PSB Academy’s continued growth, we re-located our Delta Campus to a new multi-million dollar 50,000 square foot lab-based facility in Central Singapore, at Jackson Square in Toa Payoh. PSB Academy’s STEM Campus hosts our Schools of Engineering and Technology as well as School of Life and Physical Sciences. Dedicated to studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, our STEM campus will host upgraded laboratories and facilities for learning, experimentation and discovery.

As the education and research arm of Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the Academy has been playing a key role in ensuring that the skills and expertise required to shape a safe, high-quality, sustainable and friendly built environment of Singapore are readily available. In view of the importance of the built environment sector, since 2013, BCA and The University of Newcastle have partnered to offer the Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours) and Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) degrees at the BCA Academy. BCA Academy’s 50,000 square metre fully wifi-enabled campus includes state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, resources centre, gymnasium, lecture theaters etc. The University and BCA Academy are committed to delivering a world class education in its campus to develop highly qualified graduates to assume a meaningful and fruitful career in the built environment.
